Soft-EPi
Established in 2012 in Korea, Soft-EPi specializes in GaN-based epitaxial growth using MOCVD equipment. The company supplies sapphire wafers, epiwafers and templates.
For the microLED market, the company offers red GaN on sapphire wafers (complete with microLED chips). The company also developed vertical monolithic RGB epiwafers (without chips, epi only).

Crystal Matrix to establish a $336 million USD microLED epiwafer and module production line in Gujarat, India
Last year we reported that India's Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) is considering supporting the construction of a microLED production line in India, or to support the establishment of a supply chain for microLED development and production.
Yesterday the Indian government has approved a new project in Gujarat, by Crystal Matrix Limited, to establish a microLED and mini-LED production facility. The new fab, to be located in Dholera, Gujarat, will produce 6-inch GaN microLED and miniLED wafers, and will also produce mini-LED and micro-LED displays. The project's total cost is estimated at 3200 Cr INR (or about $336 million USD).
Sundiode and Soft-EPI successfully grew a monolithic all-InGaN stacked-RGB LED structure
Stacked-RGB microLED microdisplay developed Sundiode announced that it has achieved the successful growth of a monolithic, all-InGaN RGB LED structure on a single sapphire wafer. This structure was developed in collaboration with Soft-EPI.
Sundiode's epitaxial technology enables stacked-RGB LEDs with multiple junctions, capable of emitting RGB colors independently. This structure makes it easier to produce ultra-high density microdisplays.
