Kubos Semiconductors

UK-based Kubos Semiconductors developed novel LED technology, based on cubic gallium nitride (GaN) LEDs, suitable for microLEDs.

Kubos says that its technology enables a major improvement in the light output particularly in the under-developed region of the visible spectrum (green and amber). 

In 2020 the company raised around $930,000 in its seed funding round, and in 2022 it raised a further $600,000. In 2024, it raised $2 million.
