A couple of months ago Samsung launched its first microLED RGB TV, the MR95F 115" 4K 120Hz LCD TV that is backlit by red, green and blue microLEDs. The TV was available in Korea for 45 million Won, or around $32,000 USD, and it is now available for pre-order in the US with a slightly smaller price tag, only $29,999.
Samsung says that this TV "establishes a new benchmark for color accuracy, contrast and immersive viewing in the ultra-premium TV segment". The TV supports a wide 100% BT.2020 color gamut.
Samsung does not detail the actual size of its microLED dies, but it does say that they are smaller than 100 micron. The TV is powered by Samsung's new Micro RGB AI engine, which uses AI processing to fully optimize both picture and sound.
The RGB MicroLED TV is powered by Samsung's Tizen OS (with a guarantee of 7-year-free updates), and the company's Knox security solution.
