VueReal set to license its extensive microLED microdisplay portfolio

MicroLED technology developer VueReal developed unique microLED manufacturing technologies, across a wide range of segments (metrology, transfer, pixel circuits, bonding, and more). The company has specifically developed several novel technologies around the use of microLEDs to create AR microdisplays.

VueReal has recently decided to focus on larger-area microLED displays, wearable displays, automotive solutions (such as its new smart mirror platform), and microLED lighting, and is looking for a company to exclusively license its microLED microdisplay IP portfolio. The company has over 400 patent applications (over 175 granted or issued patents), and a significant portion of these technologies relate to microdisplays.

Some of VueReal's microdisplay technologies include a self-aligned bonding process, its continuous pixelation platform, microsolid printing, a novel compact pixel circuit, metrology, and light extraction.

The company is already in touch with several potential parties, and plans to conclude the discussions by Q3 2026. Anyone that is interested, is welcome to contact us and we'll be happy to connect with VueReal's team.

In early 2025, VueReal raised $40.5 million USD in its Series C funding round, to scale up its production and enhance its support for its ecosystem partners.  In 2023, VueReal announced that it has developed and started shipping high-resolution and high-transparency microLED displays to its customers. Also in 2023, VueReal announced a breakthrough in its MicroSolid Printing Platform, enabling it to go below 7um LED pitch (on the wafer) for full color microLED deposition. Earlier in 2023, the company was awarded with $7.7 million to scale up its production line. In February 2024, we posted a spotlight article on VueReal.

During Displayweek2024 VueReal unveiled a hybrid microLED-LCOS microdisplay technology. During the same trade show, the company also announced a new microLED architecture, based on blue LEDs and QD color conversion, which it brands as QuantumVue.

Later in 2024, the company announced a strategic partnership with PMOLED producer RiTDisplay display, that will enable device makers to access VueReal's microLED display technologies. In early 2025 VueReal launched its first display and lighting reference kits and announced new technologies.
