Following our earlier listing of the MOCVD microLED R&D and production equipment being sold by an East-Coast U.S. company — headlined by a new, almost never-used 200 mm Veeco Propel GaN MOCVD system — we wanted to share a brief update. The listing has drawn interest from a number of companies, labs and research institutes, and conversations with potential buyers are underway.
The seller has let us know that it expects to reach a decision on the buyer (or buyers) within roughly the next four weeks. Anyone who has been weighing this equipment may therefore want to make their interest known before then.
As a reminder, the opportunity centers on a single-wafer GaN MOCVD R&D reactor on Veeco's Propel platform, configured for wafers up to 200 mm — a tool that rarely reaches the secondary market, offering a clean process-transfer path to production-scale Propel tools. Alongside it, a full complement of supporting metrology, test and facilities equipment — including a never-used microLED test system and a complete gas purification and safety set — remains available individually or as a package.
If you'd like to put any of this equipment to use, now is a good time to reach out. To submit a proposal or register your interest before the seller makes its decision, please contact us here, and we'll connect you directly with the seller.
