TCL's CSoT shows a 4-inch 320x180 IGZO microLED display prototype

TCL's China Star subsidiary (CSoT) demonstrated new display technologies at the DTC 2020 trade fair a few days ago.

One of these displays is the 4-inch 320x180 microLED prototype you see above. The active-matrix display is produced on an IGZO backplane.

Earlier this year CSOT announced a joint-venture with Sanan-IC to develop micro LED materials and production processes and equipment. The two companies will invest a total of $43 million USD in the new venture, with CSoT holding 55%.

Last year CSoT demonstrated a 3.3" transparent microLED display, developed in collaboration with PlayNitride. TCL's TSoT is also developing large-format tiled microLED TVs.
