Belgium-based QD developer and MicroLED Association member QustomDot announced that it is expanding its activities in China as microLED programs advance toward pilot production and volume manufacturing.
The expansion in China includes appointing a local staff member to support technical evaluation, integration activities, and commercial coordination with regional panel makers and equipment partners.
The company will also present its latest progress at ICDT 2026, where CEO Kim De Nolf will deliver a presentation on “Commercial Readiness of High-Performance, Cadmium-Free Quantum Dot Ink for MicroLED and QD-OLED Color Conversion Applications.”

QustomDot develops cadmium-free quantum dot color conversion (QDCC) inks designed for inkjet patterning in MicroLED and QD-OLED applications. The company states that its materials are commercially ready and are currently undergoing further industrialization, including production scale-up and strengthened quality control systems, in preparation for customer mass production ramps.

In October 2025 QustomDot launched a new cadmium-free, solvent-free inkjet ink specifically designed for quantum dot color conversion (QDCC) applications in microLED displays. Towards the end of 2024, QustomDot raised 5 million Euros at its pre-Series A financing round.
