Optovate

Established in 2008 and based in the UK, Optovate developed GaN-based micro-LED technologies.

Optovate developed a scalable and cost-effective micro-LED transfer technique and it has also developed a way to produce and integrate a precision micro-catadioptric optical array that combines refraction and reflection of light from each of the micro-LEDs.

In 2019 the company was sold to RealDMe, but it seems the technology is no longer under development.
