Mojo Vision's microLED-powered contact lenses used for the first time

AR developer Mojo Vision announced that it has performed the first on-eye test of its smart contact lens, powered by an MicroLED Microdisplay. The company's CEO, who was the first user, shares his experience in a blog post.

The display part of this system is based on a 14,000 PPI monochrome (green) microLED microdisplay, which is less than 0.5 mm in diameter.

 

Other components in the Mojo Lens system include low latency communication with 5Ghz radio and an ARM Core M0 chipset, eye tracking, a custom-configured accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer, Medical-Grade Power System and more.

In early 2022 Mojo Vision announced that it has raised $45 million in its Series B-1 round, which brings its total funding to $205 million.
