The MicroLED Association welcomes its latest members: Beneq, Crystal Matrix, Element 3-5, Evatec, Inlighten, Nitride Semi, Palomino Labs, Pixel Flo, Sundiode, Tera Electronics and YieldWerx

The MicroLED Industry Association (MIA) welcomes its newest member companies: Beneq, Crystal Matrix, Element 3-5, Evatec, Inlighten, Nitride Semi, Palomino Labs, Pixel Flo, Sundiode, Tera Electronics and YieldWerx. Since the beginning of 2026, over 20 companies joined the association, as interest in microLEDs grows and the industry grows and matures.

The MIA aims to accelerate the adoption of microLED display technologies, bringing together companies, researchers and organizations active in the MicroLED industry and providing an ideal forum for solving common technology issues, fostering cooperation and sharing relevant information, resources and tools. 

 

Beneq is the global leader in industrial and research atomic layer deposition (ALD) equipment since 1984. Beneq pioneered industrial production of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) with the introduction of the first commercial ALD equipment in 1984. Today, Beneq offers a portfolio of specialty semiconductor production tools, R&D systems, batch tools for chamber part coating, and spatial ALD platforms including roll-to-roll equipment. In the microLED industry, Beneq ALD systems address a wide range of processes, including sidewall passivation, controlled surface passivation, transparent conductive oxides, and final passivation, enabling the conformality, material flexibility, and low-temperature processing required for high-volume manufacturing of next-generation displays.

Crystal Matrix is India's first miniLED and microLED display producer. In 2026, it was reported that the Indian Government has approved support for Crystal Matrix’s $336 million project to build an LED display fab in Gujarat, that will produce a 6-inch GaN microLED and miniLED wafers, and will utilizes these to produce mini-LED and micro-LED displays.

Element 3-5 develops production equipment based on a novel low-temperature in-line deposition technology for the production of wide-bandgap semiconductors. The company’s technology can be used to deposit and pattern AlN and GaN (LED stacks) on large-area substrate.

Evatec supplies production-proven thin film deposition tools and processes to the world’s leading LED manufacturers. From TCOs ( ITO, AZO, IZO, GZO) & Reflectors ( Metals and DBRs) to metal Contacts and Passivation layers, Evatec has over 20 years experience delivering production proven thin film deposition tools and processes to the world’s leading LED manufacturers. As device architectures get smaller and smaller in Micro LED, Evatec process innovation delivering side wall coverage for maximising light output, hybrid DBRs increasing throughput and ITO process know how reducing particle levels are all helping customers maximise yield and reduce cost of ownership for mass production.

Inlighten Technology is a fabless developer of microLED microdisplays. The company, established in 2025, develops technologies that related to microLED materials, pixel architecture, and integration processes.

Nitride Semi was established in Japan in 2000, to focus on the development of UV LED wafers, chips and lighting solutions. The company targets several applications, including currency validation and UV curing. The company is developing UV microLEDs, for color-conversion display architectures.

Palomino Labs, founded in 2025 is a public company (OTCQB:PALX), a fabless semiconductor innovator commercializing optical interconnect including GaN-based microLED optoelectronics that delivers ultra-high-speed, energy-efficient optical interconnects for AI servers, data centers, and high-performance computing, designed to replace legacy copper and Ethernet links. Palominos proprietary microLED transceiver platform enables chip-scale optical I/O targeting smaller, lower-power, higher bandwidth modules.

Pixel Flo was established in 2025 as a spin-out from the University of Sheffield, to commercialize its next-generation continuous fluidic microLED transfer process. The Pixel-Flo transfer process offers extremely high continuous throughput and scalability to populate the largest panel sizes.

Sundiode develops microLED microdisplays based on its unique stacked-RGB pixel structure. In 2021, in collaboration with KOPTI and Jasper Display, Sundiode unveiled a microdisplay prototype that features 200 PPI and 100um pixels. The display is an array of stacked-RGB micro-LED pixels on a single chip bonded directly onto a Si CMOS backplane. In 2023 the company successfully grew a monolithic all-InGaN stacked-RGB LED structure.

Tera Electronics Corporation is a Taiwan-based company headquartered in Hsinchu Science Park, founded in 2024 by a team of industry veterans with more than 30 years of experience in optoelectronics, semiconductors, IC design, and advanced packaging technologies. Tera Electronics is developing next-generation microLED-based optical interconnect solutions for AI infrastructure, high-performance computing (HPC), and data center applications. The company’s technology leverages high-speed microLED arrays, wafer-level integration, and innovative optical coupling structures to enable low-power, cost-effective, and highly scalable optical connectivity. Tera Electronics products portfolio includes Optical I/O, Near Package Optics (NPO), Active Optical Cables (AOC), and chiplet-to-chiplet optical links designed to address the growing bandwidth and energy efficiency challenges of AI clusters and future computing platforms.
