LG Electronics has launched a new range of tiled microLED signage solutions for control room environments, the LG MAGNIT MicroLED LMPB.
LG says that the new displays offer an ultra-high 40,000:1 contrast ratio, exceptionally deep blacks and vivid, highly accurate color expression essential for detail-oriented monitoring to support network operation centers, security control rooms, traffic management facilities, and mission-critical command rooms.
LG says that a key feature of the new LG MAGNIT Micro LED display is its Line-to-Dot (LTD) technology. In conventional LED displays, a single pixel defect can affect an entire display line. LTD technology converts these potential line-level defects into isolated dot-level defects, minimizing visual disruption and supporting uninterrupted performance in high-uptime environments.
LG MAGNIT Micro LED is available in 0.78, 0.93, and 1.25 mm pixel pitch configurations and features a scalable modular architecture for custom screen sizes.
Back in October, LG Electronics announced its latest microLED ultra-large display, the MAGNIT Active Micro LED. This is the company's first microLED display that is based on an LTPS backplane (rather than a PCB one). It seems as if this new MAGNIT LMPB is based on PCB rather than LTPS, as LG does not brand it as an Active MicroLED.
