LG Electronics announced the 2nd-Gen MAGNIT microLED microLED signage displays, bringing enhanced performance and new features.
LG's MAGNIT microLEDs are tiled large-area commercial signage displays (although LG also offers them for residential applications). The so called MAGNIT Gen-2 LMPD display are based on a 320x120 120Hz 1,500 nits 0.93 mm pitch (27 PPI) LTPS microLED modules, assembled into 2x3 cabinets (640x360 resolution each).
The MAGNIG Gen-2 microLEDs are paired with Novastar's COEX 5GN Solution, to support commercial installations by providing intuitive screen configuration, advanced color processing, and flexible system management. LG says that by integrating the COEX solution, it helps integrators configure and operate Micro LED installations more efficiently.
LG further says that the LMPD display’s high-bandwidth architecture is designed to reduce cabling requirements while supporting more efficient system configuration. With SFP+, signal transmission between the display and the controller can extend up to 6.2 miles using a fiber-optic link,
