Innovision starts mass producing the world's smallest microdisplay at 0.06-inch

China-based Innovision, developer of microLED microdisplays based on the company's vertically-stacked pixel (VSP) technology, announced a new 0.06" microLED microdisplay, the world's smallest microdisplay in production.

The Xinmou (also known as Chimo) M06 microdisplay offers a resolution of 540x280 (2.5 micron pixel pitch, 10,000 PPI) and ultra-low power consumption.

Innovision also released a light-engine based on the M06 microdisplay, called the Xinmou M06E, that has a volume of only 0.03 cc and weighs just 0.08 grams. This is much smaller and lighter than the company's previous display panel and engine (the M13 that is a 0.13" microdisplay with a 4 micron pitch), making it more suitable for AR glasses.

Innovision says that its new 0.06" microdisplay leverages a low-power (LP) CMOS-driven backplane architecture and a minimalist product design, achieving a standby power draw as low as 1.5 mW. The panel supports standard QSPI/SPI interfaces.

Innovision says taht in Q2 2026 (so by end of July) it will release a new microdisplay series, the Xinmou P Series - but it did not detail its specifications yet.
