Impressions from the Smartkem MicroLED Association's member dinner at Display Week 2025

A few weeks ago, the MicroLED Industry Association (MIA) hosted a dinner for its members and distinguished guests, at SID DisplayWeek 2025. The dinner was sponsored by organic thin-film transistors developer SmartKem

The evening was filled with energy and warmth, creating an ideal setting for dynamic discussions and valuable networking among key figures in the industry. This dinner provided a strong launch for Displayweek, establishing an optimistic atmosphere for the upcoming days at one of the premier global events in display technology.

Ian Jenks, CEO at Smartkem, commented: "Smartkem had the honour of kicking off Display Week 2025 in San Jose, USA, by hosting the MicroLED Association Members' Dinner. Not only a celebration of the start of the world’s largest display industry conference, but also a reminder of the power of community in driving innovation. As pioneers in the MicroLED display industry, Smartkem is proud to be a part of conversations where ideas are exchanged, alliances are forged, and the future is shaped. It was a pleasure to connect with both familiar and emerging leaders in the field, and we look forward to continuing this momentum in 2026.”

We are grateful to all who joined us and look forward to continuing these valuable interactions. We hope to see all our members again soon MicroLED-Connect in Eindhoven in September, where we will also host a member-only dinner. We also look forward to SID DisplayWeek 2026, which will take place in Los Angeles - where the association will host its annual dinner (sponsored by Smartkem, again).
