Korea-based Global Technologies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ADST, a subsidiary of Sungho Electronics (that holds a 8.8% stake in Global Technologies), with an aim to collaborate on microLED process technologies.
According to the MOU, Global Technologies and ADST will cooperate on optimizing microLED production processes and equipment. GT will provide components for ADST, and the companies will jointly target the global markets with the new equipment systems.
Global Technologies is already developing microLED driver ICs, packaging and integration technologies.
