AUO and faytech Tech has signed an MOU, to deepen their long-term business partnership centered on transparent microLED displays. The MOU formalizes cooperation across product development, integration, manufacturing, and go-to-market activities. AUO says that this new agreement will accelerate deployment of transparent microLED displays in commercial and industrial applications.
Under the agreement, AUO and faytech will collaborate on joint development projects that leverage AUO’s leading microLED display technologies and faytech’s global expertise in designing, manufacturing and servicing touch monitors, touch PCs and optical bonding. The partnership aims to deliver turn-key transparent display solutions that combine high optical performance with robust touch, bonding and system integration tailored for retail, transportation, hospitality, smart buildings and other high-traffic environments.
In February 2026, Napster unveiled the Napster Station AI Kiosk, powered by a transparent microLED display, produced by AUO - and designed by faytech Tech. The microLED display is a 30-inch display that is touch-enabled (10-point PCAP multi-touch). It offers 600 nits of brightness, over 60% transparency, and a high contrast ratio. In May 2024 AUO showed a 30-inch transparent microLED with similar specifications at SID Displayweek, we assume this is the same display, and if so, the resolution is 960x540 (0.69 mm pixel pitch). These displays are very impressive.
