ams Osram posts its Q2 2026 financial results, reports on progress at its AR microLED microdisplay and optical I/O projects

ams Osram posted its financial results for Q2 2026, with 805 million Euro in revenues, up slightly from last year. The company says it continues to evolve to a more focused photonics company.

amd Osram Kulim microLED produdction siteAs part of its update, ams Osram says that microLED microdisplay light engines for AR applications continued to achieve key development milestones. The company says that its microLED AR technology validates its performance leadership and is advancing step-by-step towards mass-production readiness. According to our report from October 2026, ams Osram is collaborating with Meta towards microLED microdisplays.

 

The company also updated on its microLED optical I/O project (announced in March 2026). The company say that it has initiated full product development for the "receive" channel, which likely means the photodetectors side of the solution. 

The company says that its technology enables ultra-low-power at high speed, based on its EVIYOS highly-pixelated automotive forward lighting technology.
