In April 2025, Aixtron reported that its LED and microLED revenues were lower than in 2024 - and the company expects its microLED revenues to remain lower throughout the year. Today, however, Aixtron reported its financial results for Q3 2025, saying that it is seeing "initial indications of re-investment in AR microLED applications".

Last year, Aixtron received orders from several microLED customers building R&D and pilot production lines. Back then Aixtron says it expects increased orders in 2026 and 2027 as several of its customers are looking into starting to ramp up production in 2027 or 2028.
