In January 2026, PlayNitride announced a strategic collaboration with Brillink to develop next-generation microLED-based array-based photonic interconnect solutions.
A few days ago, Taiwan-based advanced optical connectivity solution provider Acon Optics showcased its latest innovations, including a microLED Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) interconnect solution developed in collaboration with Brillink and PlayNitride.
Acon Optics says that the demonstration combined microLED light source technology, advanced optical packaging, and high-density optical interconnect architectures to showcase the potential of next-generation optical communication technologies for AI computing platforms.
